Sweet & Sour Chicken

  • 4-8 chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 beaten egg
  • cornstarch
  • cooking oil
    • Dip chicken pieces into egg, then roll in cornstarch.
    • Fry chicken in small amount of oil until just browned.
    • Place chicken in baking pan.
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 c ketchup
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 1 c vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • Mix together and pour sauce over cooked chicken.
Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 325 degrees, turning chicken every 15 minutes.
