Oriental Rice

  • 1/2 lb butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 c rice (uncooked)
  • 2 c water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 small cans mushrooms
  • 3 c beef brooth

Melt butter, add onion, oregano, and mushrooms and sauté until soft.

Add liquid and rice and simmer for 20 minutes.

Bake in a covered dish for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
