Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 c butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 c Quaker oats
  • 1 bag (12 oz) milk chocolate chips (and peanut butter chips if you want)

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix with wet mixture and beat well.  Stir in oats and chips.

Bake for 8-9 minutes at 375 degrees.
