- 2 c self raising flour
- 1.5 c sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) fruit cocktail
- 2 tsp baking soda
SAUCE
- 1 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbl butter
- 1 c milk
Mix all the dry ingredients. Beat the eggs then add to the dry ingredients and add the fruit cocktail with the juice (also add 1/2 - 1 c warm water to create the right consistency if needed). Mix well.
Bake for 30 - 40 minutes at 350.
SAUCE
Add all the ingredients to a pan and boil for 5 minutes. Pour over the baked tart while still warm (poke some holes in the tart so that the sauce will soak in).
Serve with ice cream.
